49ers defensive line depth continues to stand out in camp

The defensive front for 49ers served as a catalyst for the club’s move to the last season’s Super Bowl. While the start of the unit was surprisingly strong, it was actually the depth that ensured the line a chance to impact the quarterbacks and be relentless for a whole 6 minutes.

Even after losing Sheldon Day and DeForest Buckner, the defensive tackles, the training camp results indicated that the defensive end would continue to serve as one of the biggest strengths of the team. Following the practice by the team on Friday inside the Levi’s Stadium, Nick Wagoner, the ESPN’s representative noted that 2 potential rotation pieces showed strong outings when added to the team’s defensive line.

With the rookie Javon Kinlaw, the defensive tackle, still trying to locate his way within the NFL and having Thomas playing good on the inside, is actually a major development for the San Francisco team. He is entering his 4th season & has been bouncing inside & outside during the entirety of his career.

Now, he is set to be a part of the team and plays exclusively inside in a section where he is perfectly comfortable.
