Astros vs. Rays live score, updates, highlights from Game 7 of the 2020 ALCS

Astros vs. Rays live score, updates, highlights from Game 7 of the 2020 ALCS

The Astros have given MLB its most-hated heel since the Yankees of the early 2000s and are on the brink of making an improbable World Series appearance that would infuriate most of the baseball world.

Houston forced Saturday night’s ALCS Game 7 by winning three straight games over the Rays to level a series it once trailed 3-0. The club has been pilloried all season following the revelation it engaged in an electronic sign-stealing scheme in previous campaigns.

Tampa Bay posted the best record in the AL during the regular season, while the Astros went 29-31. Contributions from George Springer, Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa have bridged the disparity between teams over the past three contests.

The Rays are starting former Astros pitcher Charlie Morton. Houston is giving the ball to Lance McCullers.

Morton and McCullers engaged in a pitching duel in Game 2. Morton went five scoreless frames in that contest, and McCullers struck out 11 batters in seven innings.
