Vince McMahon dropped a bombshell on his employees earlier tonight. As per the latest dictate of the boss, WWE Superstars will have to stop all kinds of engagement with third parties. Before we delve into the details of this absurd move, we want to let you know that reactions have already started pouring in. CM Punk and Renee Young are among those who have taken shots at the company.
To get a little context, let’s understand what third parties means here. Many WWE Superstars own and operate their own YouTube channels, Twitch streams, and Cameo accounts.
Reading through the fine print, Wrestling Inc. reports that these will have to be stopped. Furthermore, talent only has a 30 day window to stop this engagement.
CM Punk and Renee Young take a dig at Vince McMahon
Renee Young was the first one to launch an attack. The former WWE broadcaster reiterated her independent status in her tweet.
Sooooooo guess now would be a good time to launch my Twitch and Cameo??

However, the biggest blow was delivered by CM Punk. He criticized Vince for restricting talent. Surprisingly, he said that only Retribution could save the day!
Vince won’t let anyone do stuff. Maybe it’s time for…..retribution!

Obviously, fans started dreaming fantasy scenarios with Punk leading Retribution. Unfortunately, this was nothing more than the old wounds of Punk speaking.
He has had his fair share of troubles with Vince McMahon and the WWE. On more than one occasion, he has criticized the top brass and the company’s style of functioning.
As everyone knows, Punk didn’t have a very cordial end to his WWE run. In fact, he was involved in a protracted lawsuit.
Needless to say, Punk harbors that bitterness to this day. Whenever he gets the opportunity, he takes potshots at his former employer.
Talking about his future, there is still no clarity. His last association with wrestling was through WWE Backstage. With that in the books, there is little to no connect left between him and McMahon.
Some ambitious fans still cross their fingers for a Punk return. Moreover, they think that he is the man behind Retribution. The future will certainly provide more answers.
