Mountain Lion Backpack Program seeks participants, sponsors
Blair County Community Action’s Mountain Lion Backpack Program will hold its inaugural “Drive Out Hunger” Golf Tournament on July 17 at the Park Hills Golf Club, Altoona. This year’s goal is to raise $30,000.
MLBP, a nonprofit organization, feeds an average of 1,000 Altoona Area School District children every week.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., lunch provided by Backyard BBQ from 12:30 to 1 p.m. and the awards ceremony and basket raffle drawings at 2 p.m.
The cost is $500 for a four-person team. For an additional $100, the team will receive two mulligans per golfer and one free Power Up Package for the team.

The group is looking for support. There are different levels of monetary sponsorship. If interested in sponsoring, please complete the registration form by June 1.
