Penn begins the 2023 season on the road for back-to-back non-conference matchups, visiting Colgate on Sept. 16 followed by a trip to Lewisburg, Pa. to face Bucknell on Sept. 23.

The Quakers begin Ivy League play at home on Saturday, Sept. 30 against Dartmouth, then host Georgetown (Oct. 7) the following weekend to round out the non-conference slate.

The Red and Blue get back into Ivy play with two road trips, heading to Columbia to face the Lions on Oct. 14 and then going further north to New Haven, Conn. to take on Yale on Oct. 21.

Three of Penn’s final four games will take place at Franklin Field, starting with a matchup against Brown on Oct. 28. The Red and Blue then look to defend the Trustees’ Cup against Cornell (Nov. 4) on Homecoming. Following a Nov. 11 trip to Harvard in Cambridge, Mass., Penn returns home for the season finale against Princeton on November 18.

A FEW NOTES ON THE 2023 IVY LEAGUE SCHEDULE…

*Two of Penn’s non-conference opponents are rematches from the 2022 season. The Red and Blue topped Colgate at home (25-14) and Georgetown on the road (59-28) last year.

*The Quakers are resuming their series with Bucknell, the last matchup taking place in 2021. Penn has won eight straight games against the Bison dating back to 2003, leading the all-time series, 31-5, dating back to 1895.

*The battle for the Trustees’ Cup returns to Franklin Field for the 2023 season after the Quakers re-claimed it in Ithaca. Penn has emerged victorious in seven of the last eight games between the two teams. Played 128 times, this rivalry is the sixth-most played rivalry in NCAA Division I history.

*After going 4-1 at Franklin Field in 2022, Penn will end its season with three home games in its final four matchups. After winning six straight games to open the season, the Quakers went 2-2 in their final four games. The Red and Blue will host Princeton to close out the year after an entertaining, come-from-behind 20-19 victory over the nationally-ranked Tigers in Old Nassau last season.

The kickoff times for each contest are to be determined and will be announced at a later date. A note that dates are subject to change.
