GTA 5 Drops Out of Sales Charts for August

NPD has been tracking the sales records of video games since 1995. However, prior to its inception, NPD’s Toy Retail Survey Tracking was responsible for providing tangible figures to keep a track of numbers. These numbers also point towards the trending games. One such title that is missing from the list of the top 20 games of the month of August includes GTA 5.

GTA 5 wasn’t on the list of the best selling games for the month of August that caught the attention of Jeff Grubb and many others. It’s not like GTA 5 has stopped performing but just points to the fact that Take-Two has stopped providing digital sales records for the public NPD best selling titles list.

GTA 5: No specific reason for not including digital sales records

The list includes the best selling titles across all platforms. The video game industry has never been bigger than it is today. Keeping the range of titles that roll out every now and then, NPD manages to keep a track also providing the players with enough details to make informed choices.

Jeff Grubb took to Twitter to point that GTA 5 was not a part of the best selling titles of August. This he said, points towards the fact that Take-Two has stopped giving full approval of digital records. However, Take-Two isn’t the only publisher that has disabled this feature.

Nintendo has ten games on the list including Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8. But, the list only includes physical sales. If we think about it numerically, it is a massive figure just in terms of physical sales.

However, it’s not like the digital sales records haven’t been provided. It’s just that the publisher has autonomous control over the inclusion of digital records in the best selling tiles list that is made public.

GTA 5 is over 7 years old. It will definitely fall short of making the top 20 in terms of physical sales. Although, while Take-Two has disapproved of sharing digital records, is it possible for GTA 5 to be on the list all the time?

There is not much that can be said on this matter as Take-Two hasn’t provided a reason for this decision. Stay tuned for more updates!

Apex Legends has a lot of exciting content lined up for the coming months. Each season players are greeted with new features and changes that present a refreshing experience, keeping players longing for more. Respawn has been planning way ahead to keep delivering fresh seasonal content and expand Apex’s horizons.

Season 6 has progressed smoothly with exciting additions, and there is already an upsurge in anticipation in the Apex community for the future of the game. Lots of leaks and speculations have emerged about potential features for Season 7 and upcoming events, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Significant leak reveals seven upcoming Apex Legends characters

Recently, u/Prome1heus shared an image of a leaked character select screen showing all the new legends up until the next seven seasons. The first legend seen in the picture after Rampart is Valk, whose abilities have already been subject to leaks and speculation. Next up are Blisk and Ash, for Season 8 and 9, respectively. Both of them are Titanfall 2 characters, and the prospect of them coming to the Apex Games is fascinating.

Moving onwards, Horizon is the proposed legend for Season 10. Dataminers discovered clues of this character in the current season’s game files. Meanwhile, Season 11 has Fuse lined up. So far, no one has spotted mentions of this legend in the game files yet, according to WaterGotHim.

Finally, Firebug and Husaria are the planned legends for Season 12 and 13, respectively. Apart from the name listings, the leaked character screen also revealed the different classes for the legends. While Valk, Ash, Horizon, Fuse, and Husaria appear to be Offensive Legends, Blisk and Firebug seem to belong to the Recon Class.

The planned lineup is indeed exciting, but it seems there are no plans for defensive or support characters. However, game development is subject to frequent changes, and Respawn can make adjustments anytime they want. Although the leak provides a good first look at Apex’s future roster, nothing is confirmed yet. The details are somewhat speculative, and fans have to wait and watch for the coming months.

Novak Djokovic Shows Signs of Worry in His Round 1 Victory at French Open 2020

Novak Djokovic Shows Signs of Worry in His Round 1 Victory at French Open 2020

As the 2020 French Open got underway, it was time for the tournament’s #1 seed to grace the court in the men’s singles. Novak Djokovic had no trouble seeing off Sweden’s Mikael Ymer in the first round, but there were slight hints of an injury concern that arose due to the Serb’s activities during the game.

Djokovic cruised to a 6-0, 6-2, 6-3 victory, dropping just five games to assert his dominance. He’s stepped into Roland Garros with hopes of claiming a second career crown. A 16th consecutive first-round victory is just the start the 33YO would have hoped for.

While Rafa dropped ten games in his first-round fixture, Djokovic halved it to strike fear among his opponents. It is the perfect start in Paris for Djokovic, who is now 32-1 in 2020. While his only loss came due to a default, it really seems like Djokovic can only be beaten by himself!

Injury concern pops up for Novak Djokovic in his first-round victory

This year has really taken a toll on everyone. For Novak Djokovic, it has been bittersweet. He’s won four out of the five tournaments he’s competed in. But the US Open debacle stands as a stain in his career.

Moreover, we saw Djokovic struggling with his neck just before the start of the 2020 US Open. At the Western & Southern Open, the Djoker had to pull out from the doubles event due to the same.

While his neck injury seemingly wore off at the US Open, Djokovic is now troubled by his arm. The 33-year-old was spotted stretching his arm quite a lot against Ymer. It seemed strange as he more than often touched and inspected his dominant hand which caught the attention of the camera.

The extreme cold conditions and the new and heavier balls are certainly a factor that can contribute to this. A few players including Djokovic have voiced out against the new Wilson balls, which is evidently slower on the surface but gets heavier with more usage. After the game, the Djoker commented on the injury concern and said

“Everything is all right. Balls are heavy, so I “felt” my forearm a bit, but nothing serious, I haven’t had any problems. It was a bit tight, but it wasn’t pain, nothing alarming.”

However, this did not stop Djokovic from eliminating his opponent in straight sets. With this victory, he moves into the second round in Paris and will face Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania.

Roy Jones Jr. Says Mike Tyson Can “Cause a Problem in the Heavyweight Division”

Roy Jones Jr. Says Mike Tyson Can "Cause a Problem in the Heavyweight Division"

Four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr. appeared in an interview where talked about his opponent for his comeback bout, Mike Tyson. In the interview, he was asked if Tyson could still compete at the highest level in boxing.

“I know he can because he [has] one thing most of them don’t have, except Deontay Wilder, which is tremendous punching power. Anytime you got tremendous punching power like Mike got, he got a chance. Because he can — in most of the fights — win under three rounds,” said Jones.

“So it’s like most of these guys, all he gotta do is get to their chin and he got them. [Do] you understand me? Because he had that much explosiveness in his punch…

“Yeah, I believe if he got himself in shape and took care of himself for like a six-month period, he definitely could cause a problem in the heavyweight division right [at] the end of the day.”

On being asked if Tyson could beat Joshua and Wilder, he said, “I think he could do well against those two, without a doubt… Just explosive punching power, that’s it.”

Jones and Tyson are set to fight each other on November 28 in an 8-round exhibition bout.

Should Mike Tyson take Roy Jones Jr.’s comments seriously?

Roy Jones Jr. (66-9, 47 KOs) had his last fight in 2018 against Scott Sigmon where he won via unanimous decision. He was finalized as Tyson’s opponent in his comeback this year. Mike Tyson (50-6-2, 44 KOs) will make his return to the ring after 15 years, having retired in 2005.

Coming to Jones’ statements, although Tyson was one of the most lethal heavyweights back in the day and still looks in great shape for this bout, him competing with the best heavyweights of the generation at 54, still seems far-fetched.

Age is something that cannot be neglected in a sport like boxing, even if Tyson is in his best shape. And while fans would love to see Tyson back in the ring competing against fighters of his age, going 12 rounds with heavyweight champions in their prime might be dangerous for the legend.
