"I Will Never Kill Myself" - Conor McGregor Posts a Strong Message on Social Media

Conor McGregor has been in the news for not so good reasons lately. Recently, he was arrested for indecent exposure. Although he was released shortly, it was still big news for all his fans. “The Notorious” has now released a long statement sending a loud message to all his detractors.

The news of Conor McGregor’s arrest in Corsica spread like a wildfire. He was in the city to take part in a charity race. However, the news of the arrest overshadowed Conor’s goodwill. The drama didn’t end there.

McGregor then replied to a comment on Twitter that led to concerns about his mental health. He employed a strong use of words when he said, “He couldn’t go on like this.” Although he deleted the tweet soon after, anyone who followed him must have wondered if everything is all right for the former UFC double champ.

McGregor has answered all these concerns and vowed to not fall prey to the circumstances.

Conor McGregor takes to his private Facebook page to address all the allegations

“Mystic Mac” posted a lengthy message on his Facebook page, which was obtained via Harry Williams of the Irish MMA outlet SevereMMA.

“I will never kill myself no matter how many wish for it,” McGregor wrote (transcript via MiddleEasy.com). “Try set me up all yous f**king want over and over and over the truth will always set me free! Be it baby father claims, rape, indecent exposure, bulls**t WhatsApp group s**t. You f**king name it. Never will I fold!…..”

McGregor showed a deep faith in DNA and CCTV. Moreover, he refused to pay a dime to anyone who wishes to leverage his name and fame against him. He also made sure that his message reaches out to everyone in the past who has ever levied a false allegation against him.

Audie Attar, the manager of Conor McGregor, has already issued a stern warning, adding that the Irishman isn’t a target for an easy path to a headline or a payday. It seems McGregor has had enough of being on the receiving end of allegations that he feels aren’t true. The lawful procedure will hopefully expose the truth. Meanwhile, McGregor has made sure that his voice is loud and clear.

Timberwolves' Malik Beasley arrested on weapons, drug charges

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley was arrested Saturday on felony weapons and drug charges, according to ESPN.

Beasley, 23, brandished a gun at someone, according to the report. Police found guns and marijuana in Beasley’s Plymouth, Minn. home after obtaining a search warrant. Beasley is facing felony charges of possession of controlled substance/narcotics and receiving/concealing stolen property. He is currently being held without bail at Hennepin County Jail.

“At the time of the incident, multiple individuals were present at the residence,” Beasley’s attorney Steve Haney told ESPN. “The allegations against Malik will be defended vigorously.”

The Athletic reports that police have received multiple trespassing complaints on Beasley’s home in the past.

“We are aware of the situation involving Malik Beasley and are in the process of gathering information at this time,” the Timberwolves said in a statement Sunday morning.

Beasley partook in the first week of the Timberwolves’ voluntary three-week camp — allowed by the NBA for the eight teams not invited to the Orlando bubble — but wasn’t present last week, per The Athletic.

Beasley spent his first three-plus seasons with the Denver Nuggets before he was traded to Minnesota in February, and the 2016 first-round pick had a big breakout after the trade. In the 14 games he played for the Timberwolves before the COVID-19 shutdown, Beasley averaged 20.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and shot 42.6 percent from behind the arc. Beasley is set to become a restricted free agent after the season.

NFL, ESPN discuss TV carts after scary Johnathan Abram incident

Raiders safety Johnathan Abram, who crashed into a TV cart during Monday’s win over the Saints, suffered a Grade 2 AC joint sprain in addition to a small piece of his collarbone chipping off and causing internal bleeding due to the incident.

The nationally televised incident saw Abram lying motionless on his back for several moments after tumbling into the towering wagon while attempting to tackle Saints running back Alvin Kamara in the first quarter Monday. The fall knocked the wind out of him and an X-ray ruled out a significant fracture, according to NFL.com. However, additional tests Tuesday fully showed the extent of the damage.

It also raised questions between the league and ESPN about player safety with equipment so close to the field, per NFL.com.

Abram returned to finish Monday’s 34-24 victory and practiced in full this week. He appears to be just fine as he intercepted quarterback Cam Newton in the first quarter of Sunday’s Raiders-Patriots game.

Discussions are reportedly ongoing with the league’s broadcast partners and clarifying where TV carts can be on the sidelines, especially given the newly established rules that limit the number of people on the sideline due to coronavirus protocols.

Monday night was also the first game at the Raiders’ new stadium, Allegiant Stadium, and it’s not out of the ordinary to review procedures afterwards.

Abram’s agent, Trey Robinson, called on the league to at least require carts on the sidelines to be completely padded, if not relocated.

“Players are even more likely to make impact with these carts this season because of the lack of people on the sidelines due to COVID restrictions,” Robinson told NFL.com.
