Is Sebastian Vettel Dreaming of Hamilton’s F1 Seat?: “Don’t Know What Mercedes’ Plan Is”

Aston Martin Team Boss Reveals Real Reason Behind Secret Ferrari Drive With Vettel

Sebastian Vettel has joined Aston Martin for the 2021 season. However, even before his new chapter begins, he doesn’t rule out driving for Mercedes once the seat becomes vacant.

The 33-year-old has made some interesting comments about driving for the Silver Arrows but doesn’t think that being of German descent will give him the keys to the Mercedes car

Vettel may use this opportunity given by the Silverstone team as a chance to impress the Brackley-based team and hope to drive for them in the future. The German remains optimistic since both their drivers will run out of a contract at the end of the season.

Sebastian Vettel knows that Hamilton is on a one year contract

In an interview with RacingNews365, He said, “I don’t think my German heritage plays a role in that. I don’t know what Mercedes’ plan is, but I also heard that Hamilton has a new deal for it one year.”

Vettel added, “But yes, my home is here now (at Aston Martin) and we are quite busy with everything. We have a big challenge ahead of us and that is what we have to deal with something I’m thinking about, so um, I don’t know. ,” (translated via Google)

The four-time world champion has begun a new chapter

In the upcoming season of Formula One, Vettel will replace Ferrari’s red overalls for Aston Martin British green ones. The German hopes to find his winning form again in the year and having a Mercedes power unit keeps him optimistic.

Vettel will drive alongside Lance Stroll on the grid for the 2021 season. The two talented drivers hope they can deliver and take the Silverstone-basted team to the next level.

The German driver will be excited and fired up for his new challenge in F1. Once the lights go out in Bahrain, Vettel will get his chance to prove that he can still fight for the championship and show that he is still talented despite what happened last season.
