Jets rookie running back La’Mical Perine left Sunday’s game against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles with an ankle injury and was doubtful to return, the team announced during the fourth quarter.

Perine took eight carries for 33 yards (4.1 average) and one touchdown, a five-yard run with 9:05 left in the first quarter, to put the Jets ahead of a 7-0 lead early on.

Entering Week 11, Perine totaled 57 touches (47 rushes, 10 receptions) for 218 yards from scrimmage (169 rushing, 49 receiving) and one rushing touchdown in eight games.
