Nick Lodolo will propel Chicago

Happy October!

The Reds visit the Cubs, and I haven’t been this excited since Nancy Pelosi released her latest workout vid, “Pilates by Pelosi.”

Cincinnati’s Nick Lodolo (4-7, 3.75) comes off what may have been his best starts of the year. The rookie allowed one run and four hits over six innings Sunday to the still-thirsty-for-wins Brew Crew.

Chicago’s Drew Smyly (7-8, 3.48) has won two in a row, limiting the Giants and Mets to one run over 12 total innings.

The Cubs are finishing the season strong, but Smyly is 2-4 at Wrigley this season, so Mr. October will play 10 units on the Reds.

Betting on Baseball?

Good game. Better result. Aaron Judge didn’t homer. Oswaldo Cabrera did, but that was the only run the Yankees got as the Orioles won 2-1. Jordan Lyles scattered four hits over seven strong innings.
