An NYPD officer was shot in the arm in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon, police said.
The police officer was in stable condition after being shot at Pitkin Avenue and Legion Street in Brownsville just after 4:30 p.m., police said.
The 26-year-old cop suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was taken to Kings County Hospital, cops said.

Police sources said the officer is a neighborhood coordination officer [NCO] in the department’s 73rd precinct and has been with the force five years.
No further information was immediately available.
