After an announcement on Saturday, it was confirmed that the team San Diego Padres have now acquired Trevor Rosenthal, the reliever from the team Kansas City Royals. Without a doubt, Rosenthal was a top-ranking reliever known in the market, and now he is set to be a part of the Padres team.
The latter would get a major boost from the revitalized Rosenthal serving in the team as they chase the first appearance for a playoff in a term of 14 years. Jayce Tingler, the manager for team Padres, mentioned that they are very excited to have Rosenthal in the team who has a chunk of history and experience serving as the backend bullpen & also when it comes to closing down the game.
Tingler also mentioned that Rosenthal had had an amazing year serving under the Kansas City team, and this great addition will ensure that Padres experiences the same win with him as a part of the team. In exchange, the Royals are acquiring Edward Olivares, the outfield prospect, as well as another player yet to be named if the deal goes well.
Rosenthal has fared pretty well against the left-handed batters and now hopes to be of the same efficiency in his new team as well.
