It’s Paris Hilton’s time to shine.
The new mom treated fans to a blast from the past Thursday, putting a new spin on the iconic silver chainmail dress and matching choker she wore to celebrate her 21st birthday back in 2002.
While her original Julian Macdonald party dress had a plunging halter neckline and daring slit, Hilton updated the style 21 years later by opting for a strapless corseted silhouette — but keeping the sky-high hemline.
The seemingly ageless 42-year-old superstar accessorized with equally sparkly pumps and fingerless gloves, donning a pair of aughts-inspired shield-style sunglasses and later swapping them for a different set of shades covered in — you guessed it — even more crystals.
She also switched up her blond locks by adding bangs for the outing.
Hilton’s original birthday look has spawned plenty of copycats over the years; the “Simple Life” star herself even recently wore a blush version of the metal mesh minidress by Laurel DeWitt to perform a new version of her hit song “Stars are Blind” with Miley Cyrus on New Years Eve.
Others who have re-created the look in the past include Kendall Jenner and Simone Biles, who rang in their 21st and 25th birthdays respectively in near-identical minis. Paris’ sister, Nicky, even paid tribute to the outfit for Halloween in 2018.
The star — who recently welcomed her first child, a son named Phoenix, with husband Carter Reum via surrogate — was celebrating the launch of an interactive Y2K-themed pop-up with Klarna showcasing some of her actual clothes from the early aughts.
Pieces on display include her lace-up denim corset top and matching pleated skirts from the “Simple Life” as well as some of her most well-known accessories — like the gold Alma Louis Vuitton bag, a bejeweled pink Motorola Razr phone and her own Paris Hilton fragrances.
Guests of the event included James Charles (in a pink tracksuit, of course), mom Kathy Hilton, Kris Jenner and more.
