OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. —
The Ohio Valley Athletic Conference golf scramble honoring the late Ron Mauck tees off in just over 2 weeks.
Mauck, a longtime contributor to the conference whose name is on its annual wrestling tournament, died in August 2022.
The golf outing will raise money to carry on his legacy of giving back to sports by rewarding scholarships to athletes.
“I think it speaks of Ron and what he has given to the Ohio Valley, not only to the sport of wrestling but all sports,” OVAC Wrestling Commissioner Dan Doyle said.
The scramble is set for June 9th at the Wheeling Country Club. Registration starts at noon. The entry fee is $100 per person and includes golf, dinner, and prizes.
