After enduring a rare dismal IPL campaign last year, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bounced back this season to finish the league stage at the second spot with 17 points from 14 games.
Earlier this week, CSK defeated defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) by 15 runs in IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 to book their spot in the record-extending 10th final.
Despite the stunning comeback, there is brewing discussion among CSK fans which suggests that all is not well at the franchise.
It all started after CSK’s last league match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 20. While the Chennai players were congratulating each other after beating DC by 77 runs, skipper MS Dhoni was seen having an animated conversation with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
Jadeja’s facial expression was quite telling as he patiently listened to the CSK captain, who was fuming at the all-rounder.
A day later, Jadeja posted a cryptic tweet that read, “Karma will get back at you, sooner or later it surely will.” The fans were surprised at the mystery post and tried to decipher the context behind it.
Now, a video is doing rounds on social media from CSK’s IPL 2023 playoffs match against Gujarat Titans, in which Jadeja can be seen having an animated discussion with CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan moments after the game at Chepauk.
The viral video has left CSK fans concerned about Ravindra Jadeja’s future in the franchise.
